KOSB unveiling of the WW2 memorial in Berwick, 1947

This footage shows the unveiling of the WW2 plaque on the War Memorial on Marygate, Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Watching it, we see KOSB parading, police, families and children. With the exception of a few babies in prams, all of these people had, in one way or another, close experience of war. They had experienced its effects, its hardships, and the loss that comes with it. Their survival also brought with it the determination not to forget what had been achieved.
